진정성 있는 트레이닝을 위해 노력하는, 조재희 트레이너
1. 퍼포먼스피지오 트레이닝센터에서 일하게 된 이유가 무엇인가요?지금까지 여러 운동선수와 일반인들의 운동 수행능력 향상을 위해 트레이닝 해왔습니다. 또한 개개인에게 필요한 운동 수행능력을 향상시키기 전에 올바른 움직임을 가지고 있는 것이 부상 예방과 퍼포먼스 증가의 중요한 요소라고 생각합니다. 이러한 저의 가치관이 퍼포먼스피지오 트레이닝센터가 추구하는 가치 방향과 일치하여 함께 일하게 되었습니다. 또한 움직임을 통해 고객의 삶의 질을 높여주는 건 무엇보다 가치 있는 일이라 여겨지니까요.
2. 고객을 대하는 것에 있어서 가장 중요하게 여기는 부분은?무엇보다 트레이닝 받으러 오는 길이 고객에게 즐거운 일이길 바랍니다. 그러려면, 트레이닝을 받는 시간이 편안하게 느껴지게끔 노력을 해야겠죠. 이러한 노력은 트레이너가 고객을 대하는 진정성 있는 태도가 바탕이 되어야 한다고 생각합니다. 고객에게 진심을 다해 트레이닝 하고자하는 마음이 전달된다면, 트레이너에 대한 신뢰가 쌓여 몸도 마음도 편안한 시간이 되리라고 확신합니다.
3. 트레이닝에서 가장 중요하게 생각하는 부분은 무엇일까요?원하는 목적에 맞춰 트레이닝을 할 수 있어야 합니다. 그러려면 무엇보다도 제대로 된 평가가 바탕이 되어야 합니다. X-ray와 같은 영상 진단학적인 부분의 도움을 받아 정적인 자세를 평가할 수도 있지만, 고객의 실제 움직임을 기반으로 다양한 경우의 수를 염두하여 평가를 해야 합니다. 예를 들면 가만히 서 있는 상태에서 불편함을 느낄 수 있지만, 선반 위에 물건을 가져오기 위해 어깨를 들어 올렸을 때 어깨가 아플 수 있습니다. 이처럼 고객의 여러 상황을 고려한 평가를 토대로, 틀에 맞춰진 운동이 아닌 고객에게 맞춰진 트레이닝을 제공하는 것이 가장 중요하다고 생각합니다.
4. 이 일을 하면서 가장 보람 있고, 행복했던 순간이 있었나요?누군가에게는 당연한 일상이 될 수 있는 것들이, 누군가에게는 당연하지 않은 일상이 되어 삶의 균형이 무너졌을 때 원하는 일상으로 복귀할 수 있게 이바지했을 때의 보람과 행복을 가장 크게 느끼며, 이러한 순간순간들이 트레이너라는 직업을 지속할 수 있는 가장 큰 원동력이 되어준다.
5. 5. 트레이너로서 앞으로의 계획은 어떻게 되나요?그 누구보다도 이 직업에 대한 전문성을 갖추고 싶습니다. 접근성이 좋은 “운동”이라는 주제로 더 많은 사람에게 보다 더 나은 건강한 삶을 제공할 수 있는 확장성을 갖추고자 합니다. 이러한 확장성을 통해 더 다양한 사람들에게 건강증진에 있어서 기여하고, 운동 관련 업종의 값짐을 알리는 과정을 일궈나가고 싶습니다.
